Phenolic Yellowing

Phenolic Yellowing

Assess the potential of 'yellowing' with our test kits, which include glass plates, impregnated test papers, control fabrics, polythene film and greyscales.

Our predictive phenolic yellowing test kit is designed to assess the potential for either white or pastel-coloured yarns, fabrics or garments to suffer from ‘yellowing.’ This is often a common occurrence amongst light coloured fabrics which can be caused due to both chemical and environmental factors, and fabric ageing.

The James Heal test kit is the original, developed by Courtaulds research. Designed in order to investigate complaints that particularly arise during either transit or storage. Please beware of copies and counterfeit products in the marketplace. These can, not only diminish the accuracy or consistent of results but may also cause health and safety issues.

We have Starter Kits for Colour Fastness (perspiration, water and seawater) ISO 105 E04, E01 and EO2, Colour Fastness (perspiration) AATCC Test Method 15 and Phenolic Yellowing ISO 105 X18 Textiles - Tests for colour fastness - Part X18: Assessment of the potential to phenolic yellowing of materials & M&S C20B. They include a Perspirometer, Incubator, and all the relevant test materials you need to start testing.
