Coronavirus (COVID-19): James Heal Statement

As a result of the recent Coronavirus outbreak, here is an update on the James Heal Continuity Action Plan which is now being implemented. Whilst this is a unique and rapidly changing situation, we want to assure our customers and suppliers that the business is well prepared for this type of unexpected challenge. James Heal’s management team are taking all steps necessary to protect our staff, continue trading, and maintain provision of vital support to our customers. There is no expectation at this stage of any significant disruption.

The health and wellbeing of our staff is our main priority and the business has implemented a number of steps to protect its employees whilst maintaining core business activities.

The Continuity Action Plan we have in place includes the following:

  • Staff who are able to effectively work remotely are now operating from home
  • Many staff have been issued extra equipment and new procedures have been created to allow them to continue to work, despite not being in the office
  • While we have no staff currently self-isolating as a result of COVID-19 symptoms, staff are aware they should do so in that situation
  • We have restricted staff travel and cancelled a number of business events
  • Any staff returning to the UK from high-risk areas are being directed towards relevant UK Government advice concerning the country of departure
  • Staff have been instructed to follow Government and NHS advice on COVID-19 and reminded of the importance of good hygiene practice
  • Hygiene stations are available at various locations around our facility
  • The cleaning regimen has been increased to a higher level of frequency, with a greater focus on regular touchpoints such as door handles
  • Video meeting software is ready for use by both our staff and customers to continue business activities for however long is required

James Heal remains able to fulfil all business obligations and agreed service levels; and our team are confident that this will continue with minimal disruption over the coming weeks and months. If you have any questions, we would encourage you to get in touch via [email protected] or by calling us on +44 (0)1422 366355.

Thank you to all our staff, customers and suppliers for your support at this time. We will continue to update you as the situation develops.
