This week we welcomed members of the Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry (ASBCI) for a Technical Visit to James Heal. The day brought together representatives from leading retailers and independent laboratories with our own experts from different departments of the company.
Excellent presentations and very interesting tour! Full insight into the company and how it works. Professional and passionate staff.Garment Technologist, Smiffys
As well as an overview presentation, the visitors were taken on a tour around the building, with stops at different departments to see the variety of functions that make up James Heal. Our experts in Test Materials, Innovation, Production, Sheet Metal and Service & Calibration gave short talks on what they do and how they do it.
Extra time was spent in the laboratory with Head of Technical Peter Goodwin to discuss the role standards play in testing, as well as a chance to see some new instruments in action.
To see passion, knowledge and skills for all who work there. Good to see keeping the industry local and in-house to maintain quality.Assistant Technologist, Burton Menswear
We have received positive feedback from the day, with 100% of attendees saying they would recommend the visit to a colleague.
Going forward, we are in the early stages of planning some further visits with the ASBCI, more of which will be communicated later in the year.
